X Factor Offers Britney Spears $10 Million

There is a big chance Britney Spears will be the next judge on the hit TV show The X Factor. According to Deadline Hollywood, the pop star has been offered $ 10 million to join Simon Cowell on the second season. Spears will be replacing first-season judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.

What does the creator of the show think about all this? In an interview on The Billy Bush Show radio program last month, Cowell expressed his interest in the idea and the pop star. He said, “Yes, I’m fascinated by Britney. The fact that she’s one of the most talked about — not just pop stars but people — in the world today, means that you’ve got this star power.” Cowell went on to say that Spears has resilience, and commented that since she’s been able to manage a career and a family, being a judge on The X-Factor would be a “walk in the park.” He added that there is a reason why she’s still “hot” and making records.

If she takes the position, Spears will be joining a list of stars including Christina Aguilera and Jennifer Lopez, according to Deadline Hollywood. The article states that Lopez received $12 million on American idol last season.

Kim Kardashian shows up in same dress as sister Khloe

Kim Kardashian was spotted with exact same dress her sister Khloe wore a few days before. Comparing the 2 pics it is obvious that Kim looks much better in the dress with her curves. Khloe (26) wore the Bebe dress to a Weezer concert and Kim wore the dress a few days later going to dinner with some freinds. Kim also had leopard print Louboutin heels on. It is not known, if this was the same exact dress or 2 different ones. It is probably a different one, since the two have different sizes and heights.

Khloe said: “When I was a chunky little 8-year-old and I had these two beautiful sisters, I’d wonder, why don’t I look like that?” she has said. “Now I hate it when people compare me to my sisters. Kourtney’s 5 feet, I’m 5-foot-10 and Kim is 5-foot-2. I will never look like them. No matter how skinny I am, that body will never be mine.”

Jennifer Lopez to get $12 Million for American Idol Gig

It has been reported that Jennifer Lopez has signed a deal to be a judge in the 10th season of American Idol and her salary will be $12 million for a one-year deal.  Apparently, she had asked for $15 million, plus a request to produce some shows for FOX, but they could not meet her demands.

It was reported earlier that Kara Dioguardi and Ellen DeGeneres will no longer will be judges and also Simon Cowell left to start his own show X-Factor in the US. There had been many speculations who would fill these empty spots.  The show will be going back to a 3 judge format and the final open spot has been filled by Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.

It was reported that Ryan Seacrest was in support of J-Lo joining.

Lady Gaga’s Strange Fashion at MTV VMA’s 2010

Lady Gaga is always full of surprises with her weird fashion. This Year’s MTV Video Music Awards show was no exception.  She actually changed her outfit 3 times. Her initial outfit was probably the best. It was a dress designed by late Alexander McQueen. The flowing regal gown wrapped her body in royal shades of gold, dark reds and deep greens. On her head she was wearing a Mohawk feather headdress atop a long white-and-blue wig.

She was also escorted by several military servicemen who were recently discharged for being against military’s “Don’t ask, Don’t tell” policy.

He second dress was all in black and wasn’t bad either. However, her last dress was the wierdest and it appeared to be either made of meat to look like that it was made of meat. When she went up to accept her last award from Cher, she proclaim I never thought I would ask Cher to hold my meat purse.”

Lady Gaga was nominated for 13 categories and she won 8, including Best Female Video and Best Video of the Year.

Madonna’s New Song Broken

Madonna‘s new song called “Broken,” which has not been released yet, has apparently been leaked online. The song was produced by Paul Oakenfold, who is one of the top Trance DJ’s and producers.

Paul has previously remixed a variety of songs from Madonna, like “What It Feels Like For A Girl”, “Hollywood”, “American Life”, “Sorry” and later in 2008 “Give It 2 Me” from her album Hard Candy, Paul went on tour with Madonna for two months opening her presentation in the Confessions Tour, previously he had supported her in 2004 at Slane Castle in Ireland. His sets lasted for an hour and a half, followed by Madonna’s two-hour show.

Apparently, the song was from a studio session that the two had back in 2009 and was supposed to be featured on the new album. It is not currently clear if the song will be removed from the release now that it has leaked online. Paul Oakenfold is also gearing up to release his own album, which will be titled “Pop Killer.” It will be the third album of his career, but most of the details regarding the album have been kept under wraps.

Oprah Winfrey in Her Final Season

Oprah Winfrey announced several months ago that this year will be her last season. Recently she has been interviewed by TV Guide and we will post some highlights for you here.

“I don’t intend to be crying the whole season,” Winfrey told TV Guide. “The only time I get really emotional and nostalgic about the show is when I think about the viewers. Hopefully some of them will follow me to OWN, but I know not everybody will.”

“I can assure you we’re saying to all of our celebrity friends this is not the year you can come on and just promote your book or promote your song. You have to create moments,” Winfrey said.

TV Guide Magazine: Throughout the season, will you go back to your favorite moments on the show?
Winfrey: “There will be some of that. We have nearly 5,000 hours [of footage], and we broke up into different teams of people who have over the past eight, nine months looked at every single show. ”

TV Guide Magazine: Have you asked President Obama to make an appearance?
Winfrey: “No, I did not ask him to come on this year. But I did say, “I’m sure you will hear from somebody on my team before this year is over.” [Laughs] I’m sure that at some point I will see a taped message or something.”

TV Guide Magazine: Is there a secret to creating a great talk show?
Winfrey: “The secret is authenticity. The reason people fail is because they’re pretending to be something they’re not. And even those who are not in alignment with my value system, people like Jerry Springer, he works because he’s real. If you can find what the passion is and figure out a way to express that in an authentic and entertaining way, you have a chance at success.”

Paris Hilton Tweets After Cocaine Bust

On August 27th Paris Hilton was pulled over in Las Vegas after police smelled marijuana smell from her car. Her boyfriend was driving the car and possibly the one that smoked the marijuana. No marijuana was found, but police discovered 0.8 grams of cocaine in Hilton’s purse, and on Monday, she was charged with felony cocaine possession.

On Wednesday of last week, Paris Hilton posted on her Twitter account: “These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel, I’m not going to even pay attention to them, because I know the truth.”

Hilton has denied that the purse containing the cocaine belonged to her, and her attorney, David Chesnoff, has insisted the amount allegedly found is “negligible, the purse it was found in wasn’t hers and Paris was illegally searched.

Wynn Hotel has also announced that Paris Hilton will no longer be welcome in their hotel. Perhaps Hilton could consider another hotel called “Hilton” next time she stays in Vegas.

First Lady Fashion

In Janruary, all eyes were on Washington D.C. as the 44th President of the United States, Barack H. Obama, was sworn in. Of course, the oath was flubbed and had to be repeated the next day, but you know what we mean. Aside from the important changes that this country will see as a result in the new administration, many women are pleased to see the new fashion influence we have in the form of lovely first lady Michelle Obama. Known for her interest in young up-and-coming American designers, particularly those who were born in other countries, Michelle’s outfits for inauguration day were the talk of not only the town, but the whole country.

First was the sheath dress and coat she wore to the swearing-in itself. Designed by Isabel Toledo, a Cuban-born designer, this outfit wasn’t the usual subdued colors you would expect to see at this type of event, but rather a warm and sunny tone that is being called lemon grass. This was a beautiful choice that represented the optimism and change that characterized her husband’s campaign.

For the inaugural balls, Michelle went with a gorgeous gown by Jason Wu, a young designer from New York who is only 26 years old. This cream-colored gown was notable for its one-shoulder design and will be donated to the Smithsonian. It is expected that this look will inspire designs for spring–the company ABS is already working on a gown heavily inspired by the First Lady’s stunning choice.

Super Bowl Sunday

I am sensing that this blog might need the occasional sports update–no? Let’s experiment with just this one—after all, Super Bowl Sunday is coming up. Now granted, most readers of this blog are not likely to be big Super Bowl followers, but that’s okay. I feel very in the know about the Super Bowl this year because I have several family members who are huge Pittsburgh Steelers fanatics. In fact, they are so fanatical about the Steelers that I grew up a little nervous as Super Bowl Sundays approached, especially those involving Steelers and Cowboys games. But those days are behind me, and Super Bowl 2009 is between the Steelers and the Cardinals.

For me, the fact that the Steelers are going to participate in yet another Super Bowl means many upcoming years of gloating or sadness each time the phrase “Super Bowl 2009” is spoken at family gatherings. Thank goodness the Steeler fans are the only big sporting fanatics in the family—if I were related to any serious Arizona Cardinals fans, for example, we would no doubt be facing several years of extremely acrimonious family gatherings. But we aren’t. Only gatherings that sound the same as all the others with stories about MVPs like Mean Joe Green, Terry Bradshaw, Ben Roethlisberger, and Willie Stargell—oh, wait, he was a Pirate, not a Steeler, but an outstanding player who deserves a great deal of recognition—just not in this post.

Everyone get ready for Super Bowl Sunday. I know I’m ready. Steelers coach Tomlin said he didn’t have anything planned to tell the team before the game. He says that he prefers to “wing it” when it comes to motivational speeches. I’m trying to gear up. I might need a natural energy enhancer, but after that, look out Super Bowl 2009—here I come.

President Obama: Welcome to Office

Today, U.S. President Barack Obama took the Oath of Office to become the 44th President of the United States. With this oath, Obama became the first African-American president in U.S. history.
It’s amazing to fathom the number of times today’s date, January 20, 2009, will be repeated throughout the coming years, decades, and even centuries.

In his Inauguration speech, Obama reminds Americans to place “hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord” in a speech that brought cheers, tears, and sobs to a crowd of over one million spectators who braved subzero temperatures to be a part of history in the making.

With his fresh, super-celebrity status and his cool exterior, it is almost easy to forget that the hopes of so many millions of people all over the world rest square on his shoulders–he is, after all, in spite of all of the historic grandeur, just one human being.

Welcome to office, Mr. President! Your journey to office has been an unpredictable, inspiring journey. We wish you and your family the wisdom, strength, and support you will need in the coming weeks, months, and years!
