Real Estate Investing
Real estate investing has made a number of women very wealthy. One name that comes immediately to mind is Barbara Corcoran, a multi-millionaire who started a tiny real estate company in New York City which she grew into the billion dollar Corcoran group, NYC’s largest residential real estate firm. Barbara Corcoran is no longer with The Corcoran group but she did walk away with $70 million from the company she started with $1000. Who wouldn’t want to walk in Barbara Corcoran’s shoes if they could?
Another rich woman who made her fortune with her real estate investments is Kim Kiyosaki wife of “Rich Dad” author Robert Kiyosaki.
Even the late Leona Helmsley, the notorious queen of mean, and Heidi Fleiss, the notorious Beverly Hills Madame, dabbled in real estate and did quite well for themselves before moving on to become more famous for other things.
Real estate investing seems to be a common choice for women looking to become independently wealthy.
