I came across this video, and it’s made me appreciate that just because we don’t understand something doesn’t mean there must be something wrong with it because it defies our comprehension. It just means we can’t understand it and it’s on us to work on our inability to understand it, whatever it might be. In the case of conjoined twins Abigail and Brittany Hensel, like their mother says in the video, these girls don’t owe the world an explanation of what is obvious. They are conjoined. They live attached.
We can’t understand but that’s our problem. We want to feel angry on their behalf but they aren’t angry. They aren’t feeling sorry for themselves, so how dare we feel sorry for them? Frankly we can learn a lot from them and others with similar situations.
