Cannes Film Festival

Some of Hollywood’s rich and famous have been in Cannes France for the Cannes film festival this week. Madonna was there to showcase her documentary “I am Because We Are”, which highlights the crisis in Malawi, the African country from which Madonna adopted her son David Banda.

Also at Cannes this week was Gwyneth Paltrow to showcase her film “Two Lovers” which is about a Brooklyn man torn between Gwneyth’s character and another girl, played by actress Vinessa Shaw.

And of course there was everybody’s favorite goodwill ambassador, humanitarian, hottest woman in the world, most beautiful woman in the world, or home wrecker if that’s what you consider her. I would of course be referring to Angelina Jolie who was at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival for the Cannes premiere of her films Kung Fu Panda and Clint Eastwood’s “The Changeling.

As an aside, it’s amazing to me how much larger than life Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have become since they hooked up. The interest people have in them is on many levels disturbing.

There were also some unlikely faces at the 2008 Cannes film festival, most notably, Mike Tyson. He was there for the Cannes premiere of the documentary “Tyson”.

Other rich and famous notables seen in Cannes France this week include actress Sharon Stone, actor Sean Penn and his wife Robin Wright, actress Natalie Portman who was a juror at this year’s event, Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai, model Bar Rafaeli, Harrison Ford, Cate Blanchett and musicians Sean ‘P.Diddy’ Combs and Mary J. Blige.
