Now this is something I’ve thought about doing myself; and I purchased “Publishing for Profit” by Thomas Woll a few years back to get started; but then I became discouraged. I don’t remember exactly why I became discouraged. Who knows what might have happened had I at least made the effort to follow through with my plans? I might not be where I am right now. I might not have had a fit a moment ago panicking over my current financial predicament.
I just handed the only 5 pieces of jewelry I’ve ever owned to my husband and told him to sell them and deposit the funds into my bank account. They are all things he bought me years ago when he bothered buying me things, including my wedding ring. We’ve never had money so they’re not going to be worth much of anything. I’ll be lucky if he can get $100 for them, but I’m in a mess. My bank account is in the deficit and could get closed.
So how do you avoid finding yourself in predicaments like this? You go out there and make money. You don’t set yourself up for failure by prioritizing silly things like being unhappy with your weight and being unhappy with your love life, over striving to achieve financial security. I seem to remember that when I purchased “Publishing For Profit” with the intention to start my own publishing company, I was dealing with marital problems along with other personal problems. I never even finished reading the book. Now here I am on the verge of a mental breakdown because of lack of money and all the headaches and crises that come with it.
But it’s stupid to cry over what could have been. Don’t make my mistake. If you’re looking for ideas for businesses you can start that could potentially make you rich, a publishing company is one such business, and according to “Publishing for Profit: Successful Bottom-Line Management for Book Publishers” by Thomas Woll, a publishing company is not very hard to start up. So why not consider it? Pick up a copy of the book and who knows, you might find yourself sitting on top of the world in no time.
