Britney Spears and Lovato Join The X Factor U.S.

After months of rumors and negotiations, “The X Factor” U.S. has finally announced the names of two new judges: former Disney stars Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. According to E! News, Spears will be receiving $15 million for one season on the show.

During Fox’s official announcement of the news in New York City, both Simon Cowell and Fox president Kevin Reilly expressed their excitement about the new judges. Spears also added to the enthusiasm by saying that she is very excited about the entire experience. According to E Online, She said, “It’s going to be so much fun and so different than anything I’ve ever done. I’m ready to find a true star.”

While the team at “The X Factor” is thrilled about the announcement, some viewers are not as happy with the decision to make Spears one of the judges. According to some bloggers, Spears is not a good candidate for the show because she lacks experience in being featured on unscripted, live TV. In the past, Spears has closed the door to unscripted media appearances and might not be able to overcome her reputation for being “inarticulate.” Critics also say that she wouldn’t be a good fit for the show, or is not qualified to judge people’s voices, because she barely sings live.

Joining Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid, the two judges will be replacing Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
