Oprah Winfrey explains why she refused to have Sarah Palin on her show

There’s some kind of controversy surrounding Oprah Winfrey not having Sarah Palin on her show. Some people think Oprah isn’t having Sarah on her show because of a conflict of interest. Oprah has publicly made known her support for Barack Obama and some people think it’s because she’s supporting Barack Obama that Oprah isn’t having Sarah Palin on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

In response to the accusations made in the Drudge Report Oprah Winfrey stated:

“The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue.”

“There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over.”

Notwithstanding Oprah’s response, a Republican women’s group has decided to boycott Oprah Winfrey and all things Oprah.
