Oprah Winfrey announced several months ago that this year will be her last season. Recently she has been interviewed by TV Guide and we will post some highlights for you here.
“I don’t intend to be crying the whole season,” Winfrey told TV Guide. “The only time I get really emotional and nostalgic about the show is when I think about the viewers. Hopefully some of them will follow me to OWN, but I know not everybody will.”
“I can assure you we’re saying to all of our celebrity friends this is not the year you can come on and just promote your book or promote your song. You have to create moments,” Winfrey said.
TV Guide Magazine: Throughout the season, will you go back to your favorite moments on the show?
Winfrey: “There will be some of that. We have nearly 5,000 hours [of footage], and we broke up into different teams of people who have over the past eight, nine months looked at every single show. ”
TV Guide Magazine: Have you asked President Obama to make an appearance?
Winfrey: “No, I did not ask him to come on this year. But I did say, “I’m sure you will hear from somebody on my team before this year is over.” [Laughs] I’m sure that at some point I will see a taped message or something.”
TV Guide Magazine: Is there a secret to creating a great talk show?
Winfrey: “The secret is authenticity. The reason people fail is because they’re pretending to be something they’re not. And even those who are not in alignment with my value system, people like Jerry Springer, he works because he’s real. If you can find what the passion is and figure out a way to express that in an authentic and entertaining way, you have a chance at success.”
On August 27th Paris Hilton was pulled over in Las Vegas after police smelled marijuana smell from her car. Her boyfriend was driving the car and possibly the one that smoked the marijuana. No marijuana was found, but police discovered 0.8 grams of cocaine in Hilton’s purse, and on Monday, she was charged with felony cocaine possession.
On Wednesday of last week, Paris Hilton posted on her Twitter account: “These rumors going around are so ridiculous, untrue and cruel, I’m not going to even pay attention to them, because I know the truth.”
Hilton has denied that the purse containing the cocaine belonged to her, and her attorney, David Chesnoff, has insisted the amount allegedly found is “negligible, the purse it was found in wasn’t hers and Paris was illegally searched.
Wynn Hotel has also announced that Paris Hilton will no longer be welcome in their hotel. Perhaps Hilton could consider another hotel called “Hilton” next time she stays in Vegas.

Madonna, the entertainer, is getting divorced as you’ve probably heard, and already things appear to be getting messy.
The following quote is being attributed to Madonna who is in the process of divorcing her husband of almost 8 years Guy Richie. Whether or not it is an accurate quote I have no idea. It is being claimed by the British Sun, which is a tabloid paper, to be a quote from Madonna:

Jessica Simpson has recently launched a new fragrance. You and I will not be going out and spending money we don’t have on Jessica Simpson’s perfume, but that won’t prove to be much of a loss for Jessica. She knows countless other women will buy her perfume and contribute to her becoming an even richer woman than she is already.

Here’s an idea: why don’t you make your own perfume and once you have the product, make a big to-do about the launch. Get media attention. Make waves to draw attention to the yourself.

It’s a wonder they haven’t already awarded Angelina Jolie with a Nobel Peace Prize.
Ms. Jolie was recently in New York to promote her film “The Changeling” and dropped in to share her insights on international law during a Council on Foreign Relations symposium. The weight of importance that’s given to her opinions on how the world should be run is quite astounding.
On a separate note, there was a quote attributed to Angelina recently where she all but said she couldn’t care less how anybody feels about her or what people think because she’s got it all and the world can screw itself.

Last night I attended the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s 13th Annual Grand Slam For Children event where I met my two favorite former tennis champions, Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf. Mariah Carey was there with her husband Nick Cannon. She wore a dress I personally thought showed off a bit more bare back that was necessary, and the stick-on butterfly tattoo was just silly. Seriously, someone needs to take Mariah aside and tell her it’s time to get over the butterfly obsession.
Also present at the event hosted by Wynn Las Vegas Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada was the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, with whom I had a lovely chat, and Sheryl Crow who performed a duet with Rod Stewart.
My table cost me $10,000 to book but it was $10,000 donated to a noble cause.
In case you don’t already know that I can hardly scrape twenty-five cents together much less the $10,000 I would have needed to book a silver table at the event mentioned, this is of course a big fat vodka for breakfast inspired lie.

It is 6:23 AM. I am wondering why I have not heard back from the people at PGM Builders. They are the folks who built Alessandria, the six million five hundred thousand dollar ($6,500,000) home in the Bella Collina community outside Orlando Florida about which I have previously written. I guess they’re too busy building other spectacular properties to bothering with answering inquiries from people who will never be able to afford one of their homes.
Meanwhile, ELLE Magazine’s 15th Annual Women in Hollywood Event was held at the Four Seasons hotel in Beverly Hills yesterday. Do you care? Me neither, but I can’t find anything else to write about so here are some pictures of 9 rich bitch celebrity women who attended the event.
Some of these ladies are richer than others but all can easily afford a six million five hundred thousand dollar home and you’d better believe the folks at PGM would have answered their email without delay. That’s the difference between being poor and obscure and being rich and famous.

It is 11:32AM. I’m about to take a break to go make myself some lunch. Here are some pictures of 6 famous rich women who have had the spotlight shined on them this weekend. I don’t really envy these women their fame; but I wouldn’t mind having their fortune.
Angelina Jolie was seen at the press conference for her film “The Changeling” and also at the New York Film Festival Premiere of the film. Beyonce was inducted into the International Pediatric Hall of Fame, Katie Holmes was seen leaving from the Ethel Barrymore Theatre where she’s performing in “All My Sons”, Madonna was performing during her Sticky & Sweet concert in New Jersey, Mariah Carey hosted “An Evening At The Bank Nightclub At The Bellagio” in Las Vegas, and Barbara Walters was at the Times Center in New York for the 4th Annual New York Times Great Children’s Read.
