Suze Orman women and money

Suze Orman’s Women & Money: Owning the Power to Control Your Destiny is her first book about money that’s written exclusively for women. In her opening chapter Suze Orman writes about how even smart, competent, accomplished women are clueless about investing money, saving money, handling debt and other money matters.

According to the Publisheer’s Weekly review, in Women & Money, Suze Orman aims to guide her female readers through the basics of finances and encourage them to give “to” themselves as much as they give “of” themselves.

Women & Money explores the dysfunctional relationship many women, even smart, accomplished women, have with money, addressing how women undervalue themselves and treat themselves like a commodity with a price tag set by someone else who gets to determine their worth.

The book offers advice to women for fixing their credit rating, saving for retirement, setting up a will, purchasing home insurance among other things some of which publisher’s weekly calls “more inspirational than practical”.

The general reader review of the book appears to be positive with 204 of 255 readers giving the book a 5 star rating.
