Ashley went out campaigning with Valerie Biden Owens, the sister of the democratic vice-presidential candidate, and other celebrities. In addition to speaking at the Women for Obama events, she made stops at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and North Carolina State University to encourage early voting.
With election day right around the corner some celebrity supporters have come out as volunteers to try to convince undecided voters to vote for Barrack Obama.
Sarah Jessica Parker was seen at the Obama headquarters in New York City making phone calls to undecided voters.
Election day is Tuesday November 4th and current poll results show Sarah Jessica Parker’s candidate of choice in the lead; but it will not be known for another five days or more whether senator Barack Obama or senator John McCain will succeed George Bush as the next president of the United States of America.
Ashley Olsen is starting to look like a grown up, which is good for her because now people can take her seriously as a business woman. She’s always appeared to be the more well-rounded Olsen twin, and most of the Men’s magazines seem to be of the opinion that she’s also the more attractive twin.
Ashley made a guest appearance on the David Lettterman show yesterday to promote the book “Influence” which she and sis Mary Kate recently released via Razorbill – an imprint of Penguin Young Readers Group. Letterman asked a few questions about the similarities between her and her twin sister. Ashley revealed that she and Mary Kate are pretty similar. They are very close and run their business empire together after buying out all their partners, including their parents.
Not sure if Lindsay Lohan qualifies as a rich bitch. There were rumors last year that she had run out of money and she hasn’t been working much. She was paid something like $75,000 for her last film, again according to rumor; but if she’s not rich she surely knows how to live rich, jetting from New York to Paris, London, Japan and other places in the world to attend one event or another.
Most recently Lindsay has been spotted at FEARnet’s 2nd anniversary party in New York City. The 22-year old Cirque Lodge rehab graduate was dressed in a black see-through top, black tights, and a black front-zip mini skirt with black patent leather ankle boots with blue soles and a blue lining. The boots are from Yves Saint Laurent Fall 08 collection and have also been seen adorning Jennifer Lopez’s feet.
While a bacon egg and cheese biscuit won’t usually be an item found on a diet menu, you can certainly have a bacon egg and cheese biscuit for breakfast and still lose weight. It’s really a matter of balancing things out so that you’re not consuming too many calories, too much fat, too many grams of sugar, carbohydrates etc. To lose weight, obviously, you have to reduce your intake of calories, fats, sugars, carbohydrates and so on; but once you’ve determined the amount you can safely consume and still lose weight, you can eat whatever you like as long as you are keeping tabs so that you’ll know when you’ve reached your maximum allowed.
You probably shouldn’t have a bacon egg and cheese biscuit for breakfast every morning, and you probably shouldn’t follow up a bacon egg and cheese biscuit breakfast with a couple of slices of stuff-crust pizza for lunch and Chinese food for dinner. Balance things out and you’ll be fine.

Sirius XM Radio announced today that they will be broadcasting a “100% commercial-free” music channel that will be dedicated to Led Zeppelin. You’ll be able to access “Led Zeppelin Radio” on SIRIUS channel 12 and XM channel 39 starting Saturday, November 1 at 6:00 pm ET ongoing through December 31.
Sirius also announced on the 27th that SIRIUS XM will be delivering live NBA games to satellite radio subscribers countrywide throughout the 2008-09 season.
Sirius has made many announcements of new channels and programming in the last month; however Sirius XM stock price continues to hover under $0.40 cents a share. At least it’s up ten cents from last week when it had dropped to a low of $0.22 cents per share.
Should you buy Sirius stock? Why not? At $0.35 cents per share what have you really got to lose? Assuming you’re only going to be buying a small handful, like maybe $100 – $200 worth of shares.

I’ve never understood the appeal of fur coats. I get that they keep you warm. Why else would man have gotten into the habit of trapping animals and taking their fur to make coats for themselves?
I’m no PETA member or a particularly animal rights conscious person, but I figure if man wasn’t able to survive in winter without his own fur covered skin man would have skin covered in thick fur at least in the winter months. Since it’s clear we can devise ways to keep ourselves warm without the need for any kind of fur, I don’t see the need to go to such extremes as to take the fur off other animals backs to make coats and other essentially unnecessary items for our own use.
Then when you factor in the reality behind fur coats, which isn’t one of favoring them for their capacity to keep the wearer warm, but owning them as symbols of status, it becomes even more difficult to justify the existence of a fur industry. Seriously, don’t the animals have any rights? Why is it okay to take from them what belongs to them just because they can’t take you to court and sue you?
Aside from the animal rights aspect I simply don’t find fur coats attractive. They make people look massive, misshapen and ridiculous.

As far as individual achievement goes, it’s arguable that girls born rich don’t necessarily have an advantage over girls born poor in the sense that whether rich or poor, a girl still has pretty much only three things to fall back on and those three things are qualities with which you are born. Money can’t buy beauty and we’ve seen enough plastic surgery mishaps to prove that point. Money also can’t buy smarts. A rich girl might be able to get into Harvard on her daddy’s money but that doesn’t mean she’ll excel academically just because she goes to Harvard; and while you can teach people to do things like dance and sing, you can’t teach natural talent.
