By now you know I lost $1000 in 4 days trading forex and decided forex trading is not for me. Well, here I go again. Call me schizophrenic; but I’ve decided not to withdraw all the funds from my FXCM account. I am going to withdraw all but $500 and try to build back to my initial deposit from there. Yeah, I know. It’s an even crazier idea than the idea to get involved with trading forex to begin with. But I feel like I need to tough it out a little while longer. Maybe I picked the absolute worse time to start last Monday. We’ll see. I’ll just go for a dollar here, two dollars there for now. It will mean taking ages to build back up to my initial deposit but we’ll see. Last week I made stupid decisions. I traded like an wild idiot. I traded with fear. I kept taking chances and then hitting the panic button. It was quite embarrassing because I ended up in tears. I got so depressed I wanted to die.

Actor Victor Garber (Victor Garber is in no way linked to this story. His picture is being used because the main character describes Richard Berkley as looking like him
When Richard Berkley first came to the brownstone it was I who answered the door. Madame Sheila had been in with a client negotiating over my virginity which I personally thought she was never going to get an offer for in the price range she was demanding. Not that I did not consider myself as special as Madame Sheila apparently believed I was; but the idea that any man would pay even five thousand dollars for something he could get from a street girl for a few dollars seemed completely incomprehensible to me; but then, at the time, I did not understand the mentality of the kind of men who patronized Madame Sheila’s establishment.
Richard Berkley paid his first visit about three weeks after the Charles Kennedy incident had erupted. Things had quieted down around the brownstone. New developments in the Kennedy case had taken the spotlight off Madame Sheila, shining it instead on a famous fashion model. Jada Kimberly, Madame Sheila’s girl who had been a suspect was no longer under suspicion, and with a famous fashion model as the primary suspect in the killing of a well-known New York politician, Madame Sheila and her brothel were soon forgotten by the media, leaving Madame Sheila free to resume the fun business of trying to command a six-figure offer for my virginity.

Granny B’s murder would change the course of my life. At the age of 13 I entered the New York City Foster Care System; and by all accounts I should have become another statistic; but it turned out Granny B had believed so much in me that she’d made someone promise to help me beat the odds in the event anything should happen to her before I became an adult. That someone was Francis Berkley’s husband Richard Berkley.
It was through Richard Berkley that Granny B had acquired the one-hundred thousand dollars she’d been saving for me and my cousins to go to college. I would eventually come to find out from Francis Berkley that my grandmother had acquired the one-hundred thousand dollars over a period of five years during which Richard Berkley would pay $2000 per episode to act out his master slave fantasies with her.
“Your grandmother was just a worthless whore,” was how Francis prefaced the revelation. “She didn’t mean anything to my husband any more than you mean anything to him.”

Money is everything. I used to hear my grandmother say that practically every day as I was growing up. Not that she needed to say it for it to be reinforced. Growing up poor, you come to understand very early in life that money is everything. But one thing a lot of people don’t seem to understand about money is that how much or how little of it you have comes down to a question of how badly you want it and what your limits are as far as what you will and will not do to get it.
Everybody wants money. Well mostly everybody anyway. You have your rare folks who genuinely have no use for money; and more power to them. But I knew by the time I was ten that I would rather be dead than stay poor for the rest of my life.
I used to tell my grandmother that I was going to buy her a house in the Hamptons and a Chateau in the South of France when I grew up. My grandmother used to work as a housekeeper for a rich woman named Francis Berkley; and she would always talk about how Francis, whom she called a rich bitch, would find any and every opportunity to talk about her house in The Hamptons and her Chateau in the South of France as if to rub her obscene wealth in my grandmother’s face.

Apparently Jennifer Aniston made more money from her movie career last year than did Angelina Jolie. As to why the salaries of these two are being compared, well, most of you probably already know the answer; but for those of you who make a point of not watching television or reading magazines or hanging out with people who watch television and read magazines and talk celebrity gossip, first of all I envy you.
I used to be one of you and then I started a celebrity gossip website after reading about people like Perez Hilton who were making millions. Things didn’t quite go the way I’d hoped and I ended up spending two years following celebrity news and gossip more diligently than most people because I had to keep abreast of all the goings on in order to write about it.
That said, if you are like I used to be, completely clueless about the goings on in Hollywood, and proudly so, and have somehow managed not to hear that Jennifer Aniston used to be married to Brad Pitt and that Brad Pitt left her for Angelina Jolie with whom he has since had 3 children, then you know now why the media has since found it impossible to let Jennifer Aniston get on with her life without needing to make constant comparisons between her and Angelina Jolie.

Yes, I still have forex trading on my mind, although, I am not going to change my mind about canceling my FXCM account again like I did the day before yesterday. I am going to go through with the cancellation because I believe it is the more responsible thing to do at this time. I am clearly not mentally or emotionally ready to engage in such a high risk activity as trading forex for the reasons that I went into it.
While my brief experience with forex trading still does not make me a suitable person to give advice on currency trading, I will share some conclusions I have reached based on my limited experience, not as a matter of advice but simply for conversation.
- Individuals prone to having panic attacks or other symptoms of extreme anxiety should probably not trade forex unless they are forex trading professionals.
- If you are having money problems and feeling desperate to find a solution, forex trading is not the answer. The high risks that trading forex involves will mean a strong likelihood of losing money instead of making money which will only exacerbate your money problems.
- If you are suffering with depression and part of your depression is related to worrying about money, forex trading in the hope of making money to help ease your depression is not a good idea.
- Forex trading comes with high risks of losing money and if you’re already depressed about having no money, you will surely be even more depressed as a result of losing money trading forex
So based on the conclusions I have reached, it doesn’t look like there’s a forex trading rich bitch in my immediate future; but I will continue to study forex trading and practice and stay on top of the economics news. At least I will try because I believe the key to having money is be part of the world of money. If you where it’s at then you have a better chance of getting it.
She’s of course deceased but if I could interview Leona Helmsley I would ask her the following:
1. What happened between you and your sisters that was so bad that you did not attend their funeral when they died?
2. What happened between you and the two grandchildren you disinherited that was so bad that you decided not to leave them any money?
3. Did you consider yourself to be as mean as other people considered you to be?

As previously mentioned I have lost $1000 in my first 4 days of trading with FXCM. Can I claim now that FXCM is a scam? I could do that I suppose, as it would give me an excuse and possibly reduce my embarrassment some; but in all honesty I could not claim FXCM is a scam as I would have nothing with which to back up the claim.
Here’s what concerns me:
Mind you I have only had the 4 days of live trading experience; but I did find it “interesting” how much more difficult it is to make a profit when trading in live mode by comparison to the experience of demo trading. I do believe there is a possibility that market conditions this week were not ideal for a new trader. I would rather believe that market conditions along with bad entry points resulted in my losses. And once I began to lose consistently I began to panic and grow desperate, leading to more bad entries and panic moments when trades were closed that should have stayed open a little while longer.

Looking to lose $1000 in 4 days? Then definitely open a forex trading account with $2500 and open trades with 200:1 leverage. Aside from simply taking $1000 and tossing it out your car window while you’re driving, there’s probably no quicker and easier and more certain way to lose $1000 in 4 days. Unless you’re a celebrity at any rate. In that case you can lose $1000 in 4 minutes buying a salad at some posh restaurant in Manhattan.
