Stop second guessing yourself

At some point you’re going to have to do something. It’s that simple. To break out of your current situation of poverty and create for yourself a new situation of wealth, you’re going to have to take action. If you’re sitting back and waiting for your situation to change you might as well concede defeat now and spare yourself all the stress and depression.

If you’re like me you have a real problem with coming to a decision or sticking to a decision you’ve made. You keep second guessing yourself, doubting whether you have what it takes or worse, believing you don’t. You have to believe in yourself. If you don’t believe in yourself how can you hope to convince other people to believe in you?

People will believe about you what you tell them to believe by your attitude towards life and towards yourself. People read your attitude because they have no way of reading your mind. When you walk around with your face set in anger people just see an angry looking person. And when people see an angry person they usually keep their distance. They don’t go so far as to wonder why you might be angry. And if you’re walking around with an angry face all the time people perceive you to be an angry person. They will usually respond to you negatively because anger repels it does not attract, unless to attract more anger and other negative reactions.

The point is, you need to realize the role you play in shaping how people perceive you and react to you; and you need to recognize how detrimental to the fulfillment of your goals it will be for you to represent yourself as a self-doubting woman unsure of your capabilities and unable to make a decision about your life and stick with it. It’s not about wanting people to like you and be your friend. It’s about understanding that when you’re trying to become rich the traditional way of earning your riches, it usually means expecting people to take money out of their pocket and give their money to you in exchange for whatever it is you’re trying to sell them. You represent your product or service. How you represent becomes that much more important when you need people’s money.

So pull yourself together and understand that a negative, self-doubting attitude doesn’t buy you a 10-bedroom mansion. It assures you remain where you are, or worse, helps you to fall even lower. If you really want to get to the top, you’re going to have to climb up there and the first step is to believe you can get up there and that you have as much right to be up there as anyone else. The next step is to figure out how to get up there, and then start climbing.
