How do you measure a person’s worth? What makes one woman better than another?

Dear rich bitch, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine about Ivanka Trump. The friend commented that Ivanka was better than the two of us. I said, “I beg to differ. Ivanka Trump is not better than me.” My friend laughed. “Of course Ivanka Trump is better than you,” she said. I asked her how was Ivanka Trump better than me and she said, “Ivanka Trump calls Donald Trump daddy. She’s Vice President of Real Estate Development and Acquisitions at the Trump Organization. She’s super smart and accomplished in a thousand ways. She’s beautiful and she has more money than you could ever make in a hundred lifetimes. Of course she’s better than you.”

I got upset with my friend. I don’t think Ivanka Trump is better than me but I know most people will agree with my friend. I want to know what you think? Do you think Ivanka Trump is better because of the reasons my friend gave? Marilyn, New York

Dear Marilyn, I don’t think Ivanka Trump is better than you. She might be “better off” than you financially, but having money doesn’t make you better than anyone. Having money just makes you richer. Also, having a rich and famous father doesn’t make you better than someone whose father isn’t rich and famous; and neither does having a prestigious job make you better than someone who does not have a prestigious job. Ivanka Trump can afford a better standard of life than you can; but the value of life is not measured in how expensive your clothes are, what kind of car you drive, what restaurants you can get into, what title you hold professionally, how rich and famous your father is, how rich and famous you are, how rich and famous your friends are etc.

Continue to believe you are the same as everyone rich or poor, famous or obscure, beautiful or ugly, illiterate or a Wharton school graduate. No matter who might suggest otherwise having convinced themselves that some people are better than others, we are all the same.

How come rich women are usually skinnier than poor women?

Dear Rich Bitch, I’ve noticed that rich women are usually skinnier than poor women. Why do you think that is? Anna, San Diego

Dear Anna, that is interesting because you’d think poor women would be skinnier than rich women considering being poor means you don’t have much money to buy anything, including food; but there does appear to be a bigger problem with obesity among poor people.

I don’t know what the statistics are on obesity in rich women vs obesity in poor women; but let’s assume you’re right that rich women are usually skinnier than poor women. If I had to come up with an explanation for why that might be, I would suggest that there are a number of reasons having to do with the the quality of life experienced by rich women compared with the quality of life experienced by poor women.

Is a rich woman less likely to breastfeed her baby than a poor woman?

Dear Rich Bitch, did you hear that Jennifer Lopez is not breast-feeding her twins? What do you think about that? Do you think rich women are so full of themselves that they put their vanity above the health of their babies? Deena

Dear Deena, no I had not heard about Jennifer Lopez not breast-feeding her baby; but I did look it up after reading your question and I did come across a few discussions where people seem to think Jennifer is being selfish and depriving her babies of the benefits of mother’s milk. To be honest I believe that it should be left to a woman to decide whether or not to breastfeed and I don’t think mothers who breast feed are better mothers than mothers who don’t breastfeed. I also don’t think the choice not to breast feed is a choice made only by rich women putting their vanity above the health of their babies; but I can agree that vanity does play a part in a woman’s decision not to breast feed.

Are rich women more vain than poor women?

Dear Rich Bitch, do you think Rich women are more vain than poor women? Tina, Detroit

Dear Tina, I don’t think vanity has anything to do with poverty or wealth, but I do think that because rich women can afford to pamper themselves they will generally appear to be more vain than poor women.

Poor women cannot usually afford to pick up and go buy a new pair of Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik designer shoes at will. A rich woman can buy a new pair of designer shoes every day if she so chooses. A rich woman can afford to spend freely and invest in her appearance without guilt; but a poor woman cannot usually prioritize her appearance over everything else.

Rich women sisterhood – are women really capable of being friends and supporting each other?

I came across the website richwomensisterhood.com this morning.  I like the concept, and I like the idea of a place where women can interact with enlightening women, feel a sense of sisterhood and become empowered through their connections, but I have to admit that my experiences with women throughout my life have not been good.

I have five sisters, a mother, several aunts, and two grandmothers. There is no shortage of women in my family and yet there isn’t a single woman in my life I can call when I need someone to talk to. I had a therapist but that’s quite different paying someone to listen to you. In my lifetime I’ve only had a few female friends and the friendships have never lasted. Maybe the problem has to do with me not being a likable person, but you see, that’s entirely the problem.

Was plastic surgery behind Ivanka Trump’s transformation from ugly duckling to beautiful swan?

Dear Rich Bitch, what do you think about Ivanka Trump and the rumors that she’s had plastic surgery and owes her “beauty” to a plastic surgeon? Poor Bitch

Dear Poor Bitch, Ivanka Trump is quite “beautiful” isn’t she? Her features are almost too perfect to be real. That’s probably why so many people wonder the same as you, whether or not Ivanka owes her perfection to a skilled plastic surgeon. If you ‘ve seen the Page Six piece on Ivanka titled Ivanka Trump’s View From the Top you probably saw a photo of Ivanka when she was a little girl. From the photo you’d hardly imagine Ivanka would grow up to be such an enviable beauty.

The world would be a better place if there were more rich women – Kim Kiyosaki

Kim Kiyosaki is quoted as saying she believes the world would be a better place if there were more rich women. While I don’t know why exactly Kim Kiyosaki thinks the world would be a better place if there were more rich women, I would venture to suggest one of the main reasons the world would be a better place if there were more rich women is because so much revolves around the woman. A woman’s mood can either make the people around her very happy or very miserable.

If more women were rich then fewer women would be unhappy; and if fewer women are unhappy then more people are happy. Whether or not money buys happiness, women are existing in a society that puts a great deal of emphasis on material and other superficial things. Women with money certainly appear to be happier and more content than women who have to struggle financially.

When you have to struggle you’re going to be more prone to bad moods. When you can relax knowing you have the money you need to take care of yourself and you can freely live the life you want to live, you’ll usually be in calmer and more pleasant spirits.

Women have a great deal of power. When they feel deprived, cheated, inferior and otherwise lacking they tend to use their power to tear down the people around them. When they feel fulfilled, confident and happy they tend to use their their power to build up the people around them. More women building up the people around them would mean more happy, secure people in the world which automatically makes the world a better place.

The definition of success

Successful business womanDear Rich Bitch, success to different people means different things. For some its money, for some its about having a happy family, for some its just about being healthy, what according to you is the best way to define success? Which woman according to you is a complete success? Somebody

Dear somebody, it is true indeed that success means different things to different people. Generally we think of successful people as people who have achieved fame and/or fortune. If you have a lot of money people automatically assume you’re successful. If you’re celebrated as a famous person you’re assumed to be successful.

It might be time for an attitude adjustment

Dear Rich Bitch, How do you think attitudes affect lives? How does it affect a person’s character and in turn the family? anonymous

Dear anonymous, Having a bad or otherwise negative attitude is never a good thing for the person with the attitude problem or the people who have to be around that person. You’ll find that a bad attitude is like a magnet that draws bad experiences. In reality it’s not your bad attitude drawing the bad experiences. It’s really that you take your bad attitude with you wherever you go and life/people respond accordingly.

This four legged rich bitch is better than you

Dear Rich Bitch, What do you feel about all the rich people who leave their money to their pets rather than donate it to the charity or the needy? Aren’t they being really selfish and vain? Their pets get fat while the world is starving.  Regards Selena

Dear Selena, it does seem a little bit ridiculous to leave millions to a pet; but who are we to tell rich people what to do with their money? Even poor people will feed their pets first before they concern themselves with the fact that there are people starving in the world.

Personally I’m not a pet person, and I find it outrageous that the late Leona Helmsley, the best example of someone putting the welfare of a pet above
